104 Subscribers

Today I am celebrating. Feedburner is showing that I have 104 subscribers + 21 reach. I still haven't figured out what the Reach numbers stand for. These are the figures for Monday, February 4, 2008. The Feedburner figures are always a day behind. I have been watching my subscriber numbers steadily climb closer to 100 for the past 2 weeks. Finally today I made it and then a few more. Hooray!!!! I have a total of 4,321 reader views of the 79 articles that I have written since June 1, 2007. On Monday, Feedburner showed that I had 79 views of those articles. The highest reader views in one day were 108.

I just wanted to say Thank You to all of my readers and to all of the new friends that I have made in the past year because of my blog. I am loving all of the comments that you, my readers, are writing at the end of my posts. Thank You for adding to my message with your comments. You comments add wisdom to my words. Sometimes, it adds a totally different opinion or a different way of looking at things. That is great. I don't expect everyone to agree with everything I say. That would be boring.

Sometimes, your comments remind me to be humble. Sometimes, your comments bring tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. Sometimes, your comments make me proud of the work that I am doing.

I just wanted to take a few moments to share my joy with you. Thanks for coming into my life.

Congratulations Patricia,

River, thank you. I do a lot of reading of other blogs and leave comments. That draws some people to my blog. I also post a lot of my articles in Carnivals at Blog Carnival. That way more people read my articles. Some of them come to visit and subscribe. I take the time to read most of the articles that are in each of the carnivals that I participate in. I leave comments on quite a few of those articles. I read Slade's Spiritual Blogging blog and get ideas from there. I have become friends with some of the other bloggers in the Spiritual Blogging community online. That helps too.

Congratulations, Patricia!

The "reach" in Feedburner basically shows you how many people - among those who are already subscribers - you "reached" with your posts.

It shows you a given day, with some time delay. But generally if you wanted to see how many of your subscribers read your latest post, check your "reach" the day after your post went out.

This gives you some idea of how many people on your subscriber list are actively following your feed.

Vitor, thanks for your support.

Slade, thank you for that explanation. I understood what you said. I read the Reach explanation on Feedburner and didn't have a clue what it meant. Thanks. I see you survived last nights bad weather in Tennessee. I am glad. The tornadoes in Arkansas were all north of us by several counties. It was an active night. All we got was some much needed rain with a little thunder and lightning but no winds like they thought we would get. Please put all of the people in the tornado areas of Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky in your prayers.

Yes, Congrats on this milestone.
I have enjoyed your posts and have spent some time perusing the archives, too.
I find the comments valuable also. Reading your blog helps affirm the belief that I am not alone and that I am worthy.
Thanks, and keep it coming!

Patricia:

CONGRATULATIONS on reaching a significant milestone. It's every serious blogger's dream to make the first 100. With 50 million blogs out there, the majority of which aren't active (because they gave up too quickly), the fact that you're still hanging in there is testimony to your belief that you can and have been and will continue to make an impact on even more people in the future.

Keep up the good work and watch your subscriber count steadily rise! It's a long trek but one day you will be surprised with a wonderful spurt of traffic that seemed to have come from the heavens. That day will come - mark my words! :)

Stephen, thanks for your words of support. I don't get easily discouraged. Stats are a nice bonus. The comments that I get are what keep me blogging. This is a wonderful avenue for my writing. A big bonus is the wonderful people that I have met since I started blogging.

I stumbled across your site and have dropped a white pebble so that I can find it again when I have some free time to browse thru. I read enough to recognize another soul on a journey, someone not afraid to share her learnings.

I'll be back...

Tom, thanks for stopping by. I will look forward to future comments when you return. I checked out your blog and we seem to have a few ideas in common. I love Marianne Williamson. She is my main experience of information on The Course In Miracles. I really have to sit down and read that book one of these days. It has been on my bookshelf for a few years now. I have several friends who have studied it for many years.
